Traditional vs. Smart Systems

In traditional systems, each actuator is controlled by the host individually. The host controls and keeps track of each actuator using the switches, sensors, boxes, and position feedback devices.

In bus communication systems, all actuators speak to the host control over the same bus, and each actuator does what it is commanded to and reports back when done or if something goes wrong.

The host control runs one actuator in the synchronization systems, which becomes the master. The other actuators follow the master as slaves without communicating with the host control.
