igus 7th Axis Robot Transfer Units
igus 7th axis robot transfer units (RTUs) extend the reach of robotic arms beyond their fixed base, opening up more application possibilities. Using a drylin belt-driven actuator and adapter kit, these RTUs support both vertical and horizontal installations, including elevated setups for better safety and space efficiency.
Smaller units can even be mounted on AGVs for added mobility. They’re compatible not only with igus robots but also with models from Universal Robots, Epson, and FANUC. Dry-running and dirt-resistant, igus RTUs perform well in dusty environments and can be used in clean settings when needed. Integration is straightforward with igus hardware and controls.
