perma STAR single-point lubrication systems consist of perma STAR CONTROL and perma STAR VARIO. The STAR VARIO system consists of an electromechanical drive, an LC with 60, 120, 250, or 500 ccs of lubricant, and a battery pack. While the perma STAR CONTROL consists of an electromechanical drive and an LC with 60, 120, 250, or 500 cm³ of lubricant and is supplied with external power via cable.

perma STAR VARIO

perma STAR VARIO operates fully automatically, independent of temperature, and precisely. The system consists of an electromechanical drive unit, lubricant canisters (LC) with 60, 120, 250, or 500 ccs, and a battery pack. The desired discharge period and LC size can easily be selected with the push button and are immediately visible on display. The current operating status is indicated on display and via the LED signal lights (red & green) all around, which are visible from a distance. 

Applications

perma STAR VARIO is used for single-point lubrication of roller- and sliding bearings, sliding guides, chains, gear racks, spindles, and open gears. They are highly suitable for applications that require precise lubricant metering. Thus, this system is highly ideal for electric motors with exact relubrication amounts. perma STAR VARIO is protected against dust and water jets when the individual parts are assembled correctly.

Perma STAR CONTROL

perma STAR CONTROL is a PLC-controlled machine lubricator. This automatic lubricator can be easily integrated into various machines with an external power supply. The operating status can be transmitted to the PLC. These lubricators are used for single-point lubrication. People use them to lubricate rolling and sliding bearings, shaft seals, chains, etc. The instructions must be followed when assembling the individual parts because the perma STAR CONTROL will only be protected against dust and water jets if the parts are made correctly.

Operating Modes 

perma STAR CONTROL lubrication system with an external power supply allows time-based and impulse-based lubrication (for more flexibility). In the case of Time Control, the lubrication system discharges the predefined amount per operating hour (0h) independently. In Impulse Control, the lubrication system transmits a single lubrication impulse. The time at which discharge occurs can be programmed via the PLC.

perma STAR CONTROL Components

perma STAR CONTROL consists of an electromechanical drive unit with an LCD display and an LC unit (available in four sizes 60 ccs, 120 ccs, 250 ccs, or 500 ccs). The system discharges exact amounts independent of temperature and up to 6 bar counter pressure.

c. Drive unit, consisting of a gear motor and circuit board to control the lubricator. Every drive has an individual, consecutive series number. This number should be provided for all inquiries about the system. The Drive unit can be reused.

perma STAR Installation

perma STAR CONTROL is supplied with external power via cable. A protection cap is required in case of extreme operating conditions. An additional adapter cable is necessary for the cable connection with external power when using a protection cap. Here is the whole process of perma STAR CONTROL installation.

Install support flange STAR with cover clip for protection cap on the bracket, then define and mark suitable bushing for adapter cable. The detach support flange STAR for easier handling and cuff bushing for adapter cable with a screwdriver or something else relevant. Prepare feed-through for the adapter cable in the membrane grommet with a screwdriver and insert the membrane grommet into support flange STAR. Then install support flange on the bracket, pass the adapter cable of STAR CONTROL through the bushing, install configured perma STAR CONTROL, and connect it to the adapter cable․ At the end, put on the protection cap STAR and complete installation by clicking the adapter cable STAR CONTROL to the cable STAR CONTROL.
