4H/54H-P Multi-Disc Dry Clutches
The 4H Pressure-Applied Stationary Cylinder Multi-Disc Clutch is designed for dry applications. The pressure is supplied into the cylinder with the help of a flexible tube—-piston and cylinder sub-assembly mounts on shielded ball bearings. Positive disengagement is achieved by the use of release springs between inner plates. Standard drive rings are available as optional extras.
The 54H-P series is developed from series 4H clutches, incorporating a pilot mount. The pA rigid shielded double-bearing assembly supports the pilot mount with the drive ring integral on an extended hub. Pulleys, sprockets, and other drive components can fit directly to the pilot mount, with a tolerance spigot diameter for location and tapped fixing holes. A flexible coupling can fit the pilot mount using a suitable adaptor, connecting coaxial shafts beyond the alignment limits of series 4H clutches.
