Cable Glands

Cable Glands

A cable gland is a device designed to attach and secure the end of an electrical cable to the equipment. It is used in conjunction with different types of cables and wires. The primary purpose is the protection of electrical equipment and enclosures and the environmental protection by sealing on the outer cable sheath, excluding dust and moisture from the electrical or instrument enclosure. We offer three main types of cable glands:

  1. Plastic Cable Gland with Vibration Protection

Plastic cable glands are phosphor-free, silicone-free, and cadmium-free products made of chloroprene rubber (CR) seal. These glands are also available in nickel-coated brass material for huge cable diameters.  These cables are suitable for robotics, plant and machine construction, control cabinet construction, railway technology, vehicle construction and shipbuilding, installation technology, and automation technology. Plastic cable glands are applied under the temperature ranges of -20°C up to +100°C.

  1. Counter Nut with Collar

Counter nut cable glands are made of halogen-free, phosphor-free, silicone-free, and cadmium-free glands made of polyamide.  They are also available in nickel-plated brass material. Both can be used for control cabinet construction, installation technology, automation technology, and plant and machine construction. Counter nut with collar is applied under the temperature ranges of -40°C up to +100°C.

  1. Threadless Cable Gland

Threadless cable glands are used for easy and quick installation with a patented spring/snap system without tools.  The product seal is made of chloroprene rubber (CR). They are applied under the temperature ranges of -20°C up to +100°C and -30°C up to +150°C in case of temporary temperature ranges. Headdress cable glands have a lot of advantages both in case of use and installation, such as:

  • No tools are required for installation.

  • No lock nuts are required.

  • No threaded holes are required.

  • The gland and cable will be fixed with a clockwise thread

  • Installation of tight areas and no-access spaces (locknut side)

  • The cable gland fits as tightly as a traditional gland held in place with a threaded hole or locknut

  • Extensive wall thickness range: 0,5 – 4,0 mm

  • Quick and easy disassembly with separate tools.  o damage to cable gland or wall.
