Daido environment-resistant roller chains are well-suited for extreme environmental conditions.
Rust-Less Chains (N)
Rust-less chains are corrosion-resistant chains with nickel-plated surfaces. In situations where chains might be susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement due to acid vapor or salty surroundings, the application of nickel plating serves to postpone the corrosive impact on the chain.
Hi-Guard Chains (E)
Hi-guard chains are the second corrosion-resistant chains that provide high performance after stainless steel chains. The hi-guard chains ensure perfect corrosion resistance and rust resistance. As the film is heat-resistant up to 482 0F, it protects the chain even in high temperatures.
The Hi-Guard chain is recommended when sufficient corrosion resistance is needed without compromising strength, as stainless steel chains exhibit lower strength and wear resistance.
Double Guard Chains (WE)
Double guard chains have two different coatings that are applied before assembly on the ANSI standard chain. They provide a 2 times higher anti-corrosion performance than a Hi-Guard Chain in a saltwater spray test. This chain also withstands light alkali and an acidic atmosphere and is the best alternative to Stainless Steel Chains. The strength is the same as the Hi-Guard Chain.
Low Temperature Chain (TK)
The TK series low-temperature roller chains can be utilized at temperatures as low as -40°F by adjusting the maximum allowable load. A specialized low-temperature oil is used for lubricating the chain.
Stainless Steel Chains (SS, SSK, SSL)
An SS series is the highest corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant stainless steel chain. It can be used in all chemical plants, food processing machines, water treatment machines, etc.
Since they are made of austenitic stainless steel, their tensile strength is less than 70 percent that of a standard roller chain.
The SSK stainless steel chains are made of quench-hardened stainless steel. They are 1.5 times higher than SS chains in maximum allowable load. That is implemented by improving the strengths of pins, rollers, and bushings.
