Formsprag Sprag Clutches RL
Sprag-designed reverse locking clutch permits transmission of driving torque from input to output shaft in both directions of rotation. The clutch is simple enough in design and has a minimum number of moving parts. The main applications of reverse locking clutches include torque releasing (partial, single, or multiple revolutions), elective direction overrunning, dual drive (two-speed drive), and particular direction backstopping.
