Guardian Steel Gear Couplings SG
The SG series of Steel Gear Coupling offers our largest capacity for torque. The crowned gear tooth ensures maximum contact at the strongest part of the tooth resulting in thigh torque capacities. The coupling is available in single and double-engagement full flex-rigid designs. The exposed bolt sleeve design allows for easy assembly. Sizes 10 through 60 are stocked in minimum plain bores and sizes 70 thru 120 are made to order. The coupling assemblies can be interchanged with one-half of other gear couplings made to AGMA standards.
The SG series is designed to accommodate parallel and angular misalignment and axial movement. During the operation, you should be careful enough to have minimum misalignment, as excesses will cause wear of the product together with high loading on associated machinery. This will have a great influence on the life of the product.
