Crossed Roller Bearings

HVH offers high rigidity, high precision, and compactly structured crossed roller bearings for complex loads (radial, thrust, and moment loads at the same time) manufactured by IKO International. These bearings feature rollers crossed at right angles between the inner and outer rings. They are suitable for industrial robots, machine tools, and medical equipment due to their high rotational accuracy.

Roller guide options include a cage or separator as well as a full complement design. Both cage and separator types offer a small coefficient of friction for high-speed rotation. Full complement bearings handle heavy loads at low speeds. There are also available crossed roller bearings with sealed and open designs. Sealed bearings incorporate synthetic rubber seals to protect against dust, dirt, and grease. Crossed roller bearings are available in five main types:

1. Mounting Holed

Mounting holed type crossed roller bearing features mounting holes on both inner and outer rings for easy installation. The design provides high rigidity and accuracy to the product. The shaft diameter range is from 10 to 90 mm.

2. High Rigidity

High rigidity crossed roller bearing features solid, one-piece construction for high accuracy. The separators included between cylindrical rollers provide smooth rotation in case of high speeds. The shaft diameter range is from 20 to 300 mm.

3. Standard

Standard crossed roller bearing features a two-piece outer ring, joined with bolts to avoid disconnection during transportation and installation. The shaft diameter is from 30 to 250 mm. They are available in caged and full complement types. The CRB and CRBC series are available with shaft diameters up to 800 mm. 

4. Slim

A slim type of crossed roller bearing has a small outside diameter compared to the inside diameter and narrow width. Shaft diameter is from 50 to 200 mm, available in the caged, separator, and full complement types.

5. Super Slim

Super slim or ultra slim crossed roller bearing has an extremely compact design with 5.5 mm height and 5 mm width. The lightweight and downsizing of the bearing provide smooth rotation. The shaft diameter range is from 20 mm to 50 mm.
