Nidec 3000 Overhead Inline Cycloidal Gear Reducers

The 3000 Overhead Inline Cycloidal Gear Reducers are available in a configuration (ERD), that can be replaced with many of the worm gear and other gear reducer packages utilized for overhead conveyor applications. The Nidec ERD series is known as ‘’Chicken Drive’’ because it is commonly used in poultry processing applications.

The Chicken Drive design includes a double reduction Circulute in a ring mount configuration with an additional mounting plate and extended shaft. They provide the form, fit, and function to replace common overhead gearbox applications.

• High-efficiency gearing design - approximately 90%

• Grease lubrication instead of oil

• Quill-style NEMA C-Style input with back-off holes minimizes the length of the overall assembly

• High overhung load ratings due to straddle mount bearings

The ERD series Chicken drives are available in 3 main double-reduction models: BD Frame 145:1, CE Frame 165:1, and CE Frame 375:1, which have equal high torque density or it exceeds compared with other gear reducers. For food-grade environments, FDA-approved grease and/or epoxy paint are used.
