The primary function of a bi-directional no-back wrap spring clutch may be easily adapted to many applications requiring automatic position holding with rotary-driven capability. This clutch can be turned only when torque is applied to the input shaft. The input shaft may be driven in either direction, with torque transmitted directly to the output shaft.
