Sprockets for Double Pitch Roller Chains according to ISO 1275

Sprockets for double-pitch roller chains are available in a single or double-toothed design. Single-toothed sprockets for double-pitch roller chains have the same behavior as standard sprockets for roller chains, according to ISO 606. Due to the larger chain pitch of double-pitch roller chains, it is possible to increase durability by toothing modifications.

Double-toothed sprockets are offered either in whole or in half-tooth steps. Complete tooth steps are double-toothed so that only a part of the teeth is used effectively. The advantage is that when the chain is exchanged, unutilized teeth can be used, and the sprockets can remain in the system.

Even more, sprockets can be manufactured with half-tooth steps to increase the life cycle of a chain drive. With every rotation, the chain joints move one tooth ahead in the meshing. This reduces the wear of the chain and the tooth edges. This kind of toothing is often used when only minor deflections can be realized due to the respective design.

Our sprockets and plate sprockets are made of C 45, stainless steel, and unique materials with a material strength of between 500 N/mm² and 600 N/mm². Apart from hardened toothing, we also supply surface-treated types.

Double-pitch roller chains are manufactured according to the order and customer specifications.

On request, we supply sprockets with:

• Bore and grove
• Tapped and pinned holes for bore
• Tapped and pinned holes for bore on the pitch circle
• Slot holes on the hub and hole circle
