Mayr EAS-compact Torque Limiters

The EAS-compact is a safety clutch designed to securely lock, click into place, or release based on a mechanism involving ball recesses. This clutch serves to safeguard the driveline from sudden and excessive torque spikes that may arise due to unexpected obstructions.

Operation during disengagement/synchronicity

In cases where the preset torque limit is surpassed (overload scenario), the clutch disengages, leaving a residual torque of around 5 to a maximum of 15% of the preset torque. Following the resolution of the overload situation, the clutch seamlessly re-engages and latches into position automatically.
