Twiflex Layrub Couplings

The Layrub is a uniquely designed coupling that covers low to medium power ranges up to torque ratings of 64 kNm. The blocks can be used in parallel leading to compactness, making the collar suitable for high-speed operation and providing an adjustment of large misalignments. 

The large volume of the rubber blocks gives the couplings a relatively low torsional stiffness and good damping characteristics. This makes the Lyrub couplings ideal for the control of torsional vibration. These units have been successfully applied in the drivetrains on a variety of United Kingdom MOD vehicles.
