The Autonics PRD12-4DP is designed for flush installation with a sensing side diameter of Ø12 mm and a sensing distance of 4 mm. It features a hysteresis of up to 10% of the sensing distance and is set for a standard sensing target of 12 × 12 × 1 mm iron. The device operates from 12 to 24 VDC (with ripple tolerance) and 10 to 30 VDC, drawing up to 10 mA, and provides a control output of up to 200 mA with a residual voltage of 1.5 V max. An operation indicator LED glows red to show status. It includes protection circuits for surge, output short/overcurrent, and reverse polarity, with insulation resistance of at least 50 MΩ at 500 VDC and dielectric strength of 1,500 VAC 50/60 Hz for 1 minute. Vibration and shock ratings are 1.0 mm at 10–55 Hz in all three axes (2 hours) and 50 G (3 times per axis), respectively. Operating temperature ranges from -25 to 70 °C (storage -30 to 80 °C) and humidity from 35 to 95 %RH (storage the same, with no freezing or condensation). The enclosure meets IP67 protection, and the unit uses a cable connection with a standard black PVC cable. Construction includes a nickel-plated brass housing (Ø8 mm sensing side, SUS303 connector case), nickel-plated iron washer, and sensing side PBT. The packaged weight is about 74 g.
