The Autonics BJ1M-DDT-C-P is a diffuse reflective type sensor with a sensing distance of 1 meter, able to detect opaque or translucent targets. It uses an infrared LED at 850 nm and offers a rapid response time of up to 1 ms. The device operates on 12–24 VDC with a ripple tolerance of ±10% and a current consumption of up to 30 mA. Sensitivity is adjustable, and the unit supports both Light ON and Dark ON modes set by a switch. The control output is a PNP open collector, and connection is via an M8 connector. It handles challenging lighting conditions with ambient illumination up to 11,000 lx in sunlight and 3,000 lx under incandescent light. The operating temperature range is -25 to 55 °C (storage -40 to 70 °C), and humidity tolerance is 35 to 85% RH (storage the same). The housing is IP67 protected. Materials include a case made from polycarbonate plus ABS, an LED cap of polycarbonate, and a sensing portion of PMMA, with brackets in SUS304 stainless steel, bolts and nuts in steel with chromium-molybdenum coating, and brass sleeves with nickel plating. Hysteresis remains within a maximum of 20% of the sensing distance. Included accessories are a fixing bracket, two M3 bolts, two M3 nuts, and an adjuster driver.
