The Autonics BJ3M-PDT-C-P is a retroreflective type sensor with a built-in polarizing filter and a sensing distance of 3 meters when used with the MS-2A reflector. It detects opaque targets with a minimum diameter of 75 mm and uses a red LED at 660 nm, delivering a fast response time of up to 1 ms. Power is 12–24 VDC with ripple tolerance of ±10% and current consumption up to 30 mA, featuring a sensitivity adjuster. The unit supports Light ON and Dark ON modes set by a switch and provides a PNP open-collector output via an M8 connector. It tolerates bright environments with ambient illumination up to 11,000 lx in sunlight and 3,000 lx under incandescent lighting. Operating temperature ranges from -25 to 55 °C (storage -40 to 70 °C) and humidity from 35 to 85% RH (storage the same). The enclosure is IP67 protected. Materials include a polycarbonate and ABS case, polycarbonate LED cap, and PMMA sensing element, with SUS304 stainless steel brackets, steel bolts and nuts with chromium molybdenum coating, and brass sleeves with nickel plating. Included accessories are a fixing bracket, two M3 bolts, two M3 nuts, and an adjuster driver, plus the MS-2A reflector as an individual accessory.
