The Autonics BJ15M-TDT-C-P is a through-beam type sensor with a sensing distance of 15 meters, designed to detect opaque targets with a minimum diameter of 12 mm. It uses an infrared LED at 850 nm and offers a rapid response time of up to 1 ms. Power is 12–24 VDC with ripple tolerance of ±10% and current consumption for emitter and receiver up to 20 mA. Sensitivity can be adjusted with a dedicated adjuster, and the unit supports both Light ON and Dark ON modes set by a switch. The control output is a PNP open collector, and connection is via an M8 connector. It tolerates bright ambient illumination, with sunlight up to 11,000 lx and incandescent lighting up to 3,000 lx (received illumination). Operating temperature ranges from -25 to 55 °C, with storage from -40 to 70 °C, and humidity tolerance of 35 to 85% RH (storage the same). The enclosure is IP67 protected. The housing is made from a combination of polycarbonate and ABS, with a polycarbonate LED cap and PMMA sensing element; brackets are SUS304 stainless steel, bolts and nuts are steel with chromium molybdenum coating, and sleeves are brass with nickel plating. Included accessories are a fixing bracket, four M3 bolts, four M3 nuts, and an adjuster driver.
